The complex consists of sixteen buildings, with twelve units per building, for a grand total of 192 units. Our population is of mixed age groups. The buildings were constructed between 2001-2002 and feature soundproof 3/4" gipcrete between the upper and lower units. Each apartment is separated by soundboard and insulation. The heating system is hot water passive baseboard radiators, and each apartment controls its own temperature with thermostatically-controlled zones. Each apartment has at least one wall-mounted air conditioner in the master bedroom, and uppers have a second unit in the living room. Phone lines, cable hookups, and LAN computer network feed throughout each unit as well. Safety is one of our main concerns and accordingly, we use sodium-type lighting to illuminate our main entrances and walks.
